There is much to be said about starting a company. There are just as many websites offering advice on what to do and what not do when starting that company and learning from your mistakes, or even better, from the mistakes of others. One of the sites I have found most helpful and whole-heartedly recommend provides real-life examples written by Rafe Needleman on CNet.com. These are real stories by people who started and struggled and what they have learned. I’ve taking a liking to the series and wanted to share the link with you. Last week’s post talked about the various ways on learning and our first suggestion were books. Here are a few Startup and company success story books I recommend:
- Delivering Happiness: The visionary CEO of Zappos explains how an emphasis on corporate culture can lead to unprecedented success.
- Peak: How Great Companies Get Their Mojo from Maslow
- Pour Your Heart Into It: How Starbucks Built a Company One Cup at a Time
- Steve Jobs: by Walter Isaacson
- Sam Walton: Made In America
You can find these books also as Audiobooks.
